OSWEGO, NY — Oct. 6, 2016 — Tim Fuller was the only driver to crack the 22-second bracket as his lap time of 22.829 seconds earned him the pole for the DIRTcar 358 Modified Series Riccelli-Northern Salute the Troops 150 at the 45th Annual NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week.

Fuller was the first car to hit the track for time trials after fastest time in the noon practice session. He took full advantage of his qualifying position to grab the pole for Saturday’s 358 Modified main event.

“I was so close to the wall. You have to nip the wall down here in turn one and I can’t believe I didn’t hit it,” Fuller said following time trials. “That’s all we had to do – we just had to hit it right.”

OSWEGO, N.Y. – Oct. 6, 2016 – DIRTcar Racing announced today that NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week will remain at Oswego Speedway in 2017.

After 44 years of running NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week at the Moody Mile, Racing’s Biggest Party found a new home at Oswego Speedway in 2016. "With support from Governor Cuomo, the State of New York, and incredible fans and sponsors, we are excited to announce that the State of New York has committed the resources that will allow Super DIRT Week to return to Oswego Speedway in 2017,” said DIRTcar Racing CEO Brian Carter. "Over the last several months we've developed a great relationship with John and Eric Torrese and their team as we took on an extensive overhaul project to ready the historic Oswego Speedway for Racing’s Biggest Party. The infrastructure is now here, the support from the fans and sponsors has been tremendous, and we look forward to improving on 2016 and making 2017 at Oswego Speedway the best Super DIRT Week yet.”

Big Blocks Hit First Dirt at Oswego for a Beautiful First Day of NAPA Super DIRT Week

OSWEGO, NY — Oct. 5, 2016 — An unusually warm fall day set the scene for NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week's first day of practice at Oswego Speedway. The event officially kicked off at noon when over 35 race cars took to the streets of Oswego, New York for a procession through town. The stage was then set for the Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modifieds to hit the newly covered dirt track for the very first time.

"I think the track is going to race well," said four-time Super DIRT Week Champion Stewart Friesen. "It was a little narrow there at practice, but we had to start somewhere. We had to get a base down and get it hard and slick. I'm looking forward to it. It's a good atmosphere. It's got that Super DIRT Week Syracuse vibe to it."
